Chicken Tettrazzini
 
1 stick
butter or margarine
¼ cup
chopped onion
1 can
sliced mushrooms, chopped
1/3 cup
flour
2 cups
milk
2 cups
half & half
3 Tbsp
sherry or vermouth
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp
garlic powder
¼ tsp red
pepper flakes
1 cup
parmesan cheese
8 - oz
spaghetti, cooked
2 cups
cooked chicken, coarsely chopped
 
 
 
 
Saute
onions in butter till soft, add mushrooms and cook a few minutes. Add flour to
pan and stir, making a roux. Gradually add the milk and half & half ( I
just dumped it all in) Add rest of ingredients except cheese and spaghetti.  Cook until thickened. Put half of spaghetti
in a 2 qrt casserole, cover with sauce, chicken and cheese. Repeat layer.  Cook 350 deg, 20 to 25 minutes.
