Talked with Sue Wills and this is her recipe:
She uses shredded iceberg lettuce, chopped celery and green onion then
sugar coats her almonds to be added when ready to serve. The
dressing can be make the day before - 2 tablespoons sugar; 2
tablespoons vinegar; 1/2 teaspoon salt; 1/4 cup oil (whisk up before
putting on the salad - it will thicken). Add mandarin oranges. She also
said, other lettuces can be used.
