Walnut Fudge Pie with Heavenly Fudge Sauce

 Pie Ingredients

½ C packed brown sugar

¼ C all-purpose flour

¼ C butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla

3 eggs, lightly beaten

1- 12 0z package chocolate chips, melted (I melted the butter with the chips instead of separate)

1-1/2 C walnut pieces

1 9-inch, deep dish pie crust, unbaked


Combine first 5 ingredients, stirring well. Stir in melted chocolate chips and walnuts. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 375 deg for approximately 30 min (took 40) Serve with ice cream and Heavenly Fudge Sauce.


Heavenly Fudge Sauce

1 -12 oz package chocolate chips, 2 Tbsp butter, ½ C heavy cream, 1/3 C strong brewed coffee.

In double boiler, melt chips; whisk in cream. Cook stirring constantly for 2-3 min. Remove from heat and stir in coffee. Serve warm over pie and ice cream.
